By Japhet John

Hon. Sarauta Luka has officially declared his intention to contest for the Song/Fufore Federal Constituency seat in the House of Representatives under the platform of the Labour Party.

Speaking with journalists at his residence in Yola, the Adamawa State capital, Luka said his decision to seek elective office stems from his desire to contribute meaningfully to community development and provide effective service to the people.

The aspirant stated that his entry into the race was in response to growing calls from constituents who urged him to contest the election.
According to him, his passion for public service and commitment to improving the welfare of the people inspired his decision to join the contest.

Luka assured constituents of purposeful, result-oriented representation if elected, emphasizing human capital development and people-focused legislation as key priorities of his agenda.

He noted that the promotion of justice and fairness, as well as religious tolerance and peaceful coexistence, would also receive significant attention under his representation.

Born in Song Local Government Area of Adamawa State, Luka is a businessman and grassroots politician. He explained that after years of supporting and campaigning for various political candidates, he decided to seek elective office himself in order to directly contribute to the development of the constituency through effective representation.

The Labour Party aspirant also cautioned voters against vote-buying, describing the practice as detrimental to democracy and good governance.

He urged the electorate to support candidates based on competence, credibility, and their commitment to serving the interests of the people. .
